Dave Kearney fails at daddy day care!

 Dave Kearney

Well I blame Dave Kearney for Glasgow's victory over Leinster on Friday night, just not up to his daddy day care duties looking after the back line. You've got to be on top of your game with a bunch of guys who look like they should be studying for their leaving cert, never mind holding a decent defensive line. Suffice to say, our attack was better than our defense, and you forget sometimes that half our team was in the academy last year. There were six tries in the first 25 minutes, and one in the last 55 minutes. Dave Kearney had nothing to do with it, his experience was invaluable, we're on a journey blooding youngsters, and have brought along  gems like Jordan Larmour, Gary Ringrose, Dan Leavy, Joey Carbury etc etc. And learning as we go.

But in fairness to Glasgow, they had a ton of players missing for Scotland, but scored four tries and defended superbly to stop Leinster getting anything - one more try and we could have a four try bonus point and a losing bonus point.

Munster hammered the Dragons, and Ulster got their points at the Kings. Finally, Connacht extracted a measure of revenge out of the Cheetahs for Leinster, beating them at the Sportsground and denying them any points. Good to see the South Africans adding value to the tournament with a good hard close match though.
