Getting serious in the PRO12 now, where I'm picking wins for Ulster and Leinster!

Right, it’s getting all serious now in the PRO12, with top four and top six positions on the line.

Munster have picked a home grown side for the visit of Zebre, and will want to get biblical on the Italians after the disappointment of last week. It should be a good bonus point win for the home side.

Ulster have packed buckets and spades for their trip to the Scotstoun sandpit to take on Glasgow – they’ve come to play! The Scots have stuffed their side with internationals, possibly a bit tired and battered after a six day turnaround against Ireland. But do you think they’ll be in the mood to kick some Irish arse? Ulster’s side is full of internationals themselves, and they don’t want to be slipping down the table at this time of the season, so possibly against the trend, I’m backing Ulster. And how great is it to see Iain Henderson back?

Then on Saturday it’s likely to be grudge match of international intensity as leaders Connacht welcome 2nd placed Leinster to the Sportsground. It sounds like we have a low grade storm on the way, and that ground is windy enough in the first place! Connacht will like nothing better than to smash their big neighbours, and as there are always a few players who’ve swopped ships it’s extra personal. The player who’d impressed me lately for Connacht is AJ MacGinty, the one that got away from Leinster and Ireland. He’s a seriously talented young guy, who’s going to go a long way in the rugby world. Leinster really want this one, that bench is going to put serious pressure on the starting 15, and I think their defence, and Connachts’ relative weakness there is going to see them home. And so great to have Luke Fitzgerald back!

Elsewhere, I think the Ospreys and Edinburgh to come through, keeping it interesting for the rest of the season.
