Potted history of Leinster's season so far ahead of visit of table toppers Scarlets!

Now the world cup is over, time to get back to the Pro12 , a good opportunity to generate some momentum with the Champions Cup coming roaring up.

We all know that if you want to play for Ireland, you just have to walk past the Leinster training ground and Joe Schmidt will usher you into the team.  But seriously, Leinster was hardest hit by the world cup. Our top four props for instance.

The players who got a chance to shine for me while the big names were at the World Cup were Josh van der Flier, Gary Ringrose, Ross Molony (so impressive for his age) and Luke Mcgrath, who has a bit of Aaron Smith about him.

I watched Leinster lose to Edinburgh (where it wasn’t a who’s who of Leinster, more like a who? who?), get past the Blues, although not that easily, have a pretty sickening loss to the Scarlets, squeak past Glasgow, and hammer Treviso.

And look who’s calling this week, the Scarlets, and we have our big boys back this time! But they didn’t just beat Leinster because our big names were absent, they are a pretty tidy looking outfit this year, unbeaten so far. At home, though, I’d say it’s payback time for Leinster!

Elsewhere Munster should have too much for Edinburgh, Saili looks impressive, as do players like Stander. But do they have the control? Still a question mark over Keatley.

Connacht’s good run is likely to continue over Treviso, they could be top of the table if other results go their way!

Finally Ulster should sort out the Dragons, giving Ireland a clean sweep!
